A deeper dive into the Team...

Michaela Reaney

I am passionate about empowering leaders to step into their full potential. With over 15 years of experience in learning and development, I’ve had the privilege of working with global organisations like Rio Tinto, AWS, and UK Athletics, helping individuals cultivate essential human skills - empathy, communication, and navigating tough conversations.

As the founder of Opportunity Global and a tech venture in the US, I am on a mission to make leadership development accessible to everyone. I believe leadership is about the courage to listen, act, and inspire. My experience scaling, selling, and even closing a business, along with overcoming burnout, gives me a unique perspective on resilience and balance.

In 2021, I joined the TED movement in the US and later founded TEDxTeessideWomen, creating a platform for women, non-binary individuals, and allies to share ideas and connect. My commitment to inclusivity and community drives everything I do. I live in Teesside with my partner, our Great Dane, and four naughty pygmy goats. This retreat reflects my core values: creating a space to pause, reflect, and grow.

Claire Preston

Hi, I’m Claire, a North Yorkshire based coach and consultant driven by a passion to help women recognise their worth, break through barriers, and achieve success and fulfillment in their personal and professional livesI have devoted over 30 years to leadership and management across a range of sectors, during which I’ve had the privilege of empowering individuals and organisations to thrive

In 2018, I was  named Tees Business Woman of the Year, a recognition of my dedication to creating opportunities and  driving growth and change. This accolade resulted in my intention to support the professional growth and achievement of others and  commitment to fostering environments where everyone can flourish equally.

Coaching and mentoring are at the heart of everything I do. I believe in the transformative power of guidance, reflection, and shared experiences, in particular to help women unlock their potential and push past limitations. My expertise spans business scalability, performance management, and leadership development, always with a focus on creating positive, lasting impact.

This leadership retreat is an extension of my purpose: to offer a supportive space where women can build confidence, find clarity, and embrace the next step in their journey.
